Find someone you really like and can have fun with.
Think about how the two of you will get along down the road. Take your time to get to know someone’s true nature, because people often put their best foot forward at first.
Avoid the temptation to talk about past relationships
it can be a downer and you don’t want to turn your date into a support group. Focus on what you enjoy.
If you share similar financial goals and means, this can be very helpful.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions about how the person likes to handle their money, especially as you get to know each other well.

Why am I still singLe?
What so earthly reasons why am I still single until now? Which group do I belong then? Still unattached and no commitment to call my relationship… Perhaps I belong to one one of these reasons? Ikaw, san ka kasali?
1. DESTINY ADIK Eto yung mga naghihintay kay “Destiny” na gumawa ng paraan para pagtagpuin sila ng kanilang mga “partner in life”.. ayannn… kapapanood nyo ng “Serendipity” eh feeling nila ang nangyari sa movie eh mangyayari rin sa kanila such a cliche.. hindi ba nila alam na kung walang effort destiny is useless.
2. PERFECTIONIST/ MAPILI
Yes, isang taong perpeksiyonista. Yung tipong dapat ganito ang magiging kapartner ko. Pag may nakilala, nakita lang na pangit ang kuko o may dumi lang, turn-off na agad. O kaya ang daming ayaw. Ayaw sa mabait boring daw, gusto bad boy/ pilya pero kapag pinaiyak ka tatanungin ka bakit ang sama mo bakit mo nagawa yun! Adik ka ba?! Ayaw sa cute, ayaw din naman sa panget. meron dyan gusto ka ayaw mo naman.. yung gusto mo halos magtambling ka pero deadma parin yang stunts mO sa kanya! Pasaway ka rin e! Ano ba talaga kuya?
3. BUSY BUSYHAN
Opo, eto yung ang mundo e gumagalaw lang sa libro at ballpen kung estudyante ka o kaya naman sa computer at files kung office staff ka. Yung tipong aalis ng bahay ng alas 6 o alas 7 ng umaga at uuwi ng bahay ng 6 hanggang alas 8 ng gabi [baligtad naman para sa mga nag tratrabaho sa call center]. Sabay tulog na. Kapag sabado masaya na sila sa tv, sa pagkain na niluluto ni mama at sa linggo naman sisimba at maghahanda na ng kelangan para sa lunes hanggang byernes. Pssssst.. pause for awhile.

Define Happiness

We convince ourselves that life will be better once we are married, have a baby, then another.Then we get frustrated because our children are not old enough, and that all will be well when they are older.
Then we are frustrated because they reach adolescence and we must deal with them. Surely we’ll be happier when they grow out of the teen years.
We tell ourselves our life will be better when our spouse gets his/her act together, when we have a nicer car, when we can take a vacation, when we finally retire.
The truth is that there is no better time to be happy than right now.
If not, then when?
Your life will always be full of challenges. It is better to admit as much and to decide to be happy in spite of it all.
There isn’t any road to happiness.
Happiness IS the road.
So, enjoy every moment.
Stop waiting for school to end,
for a return to school,
to lose ten pounds,
to gain ten pounds,
for work to begin, to get married,
for Friday evening,
for Sunday morning,
waiting for a new car,
for your mortgage to be paid off,
for spring, for summer, for fall, for winter,
for the first or the fifteenth of the month,
for your song to be played on the radio,
to die,
to be reborn…
before deciding to be happy.
Happiness is a voyage, not a destination.
There is no better time to be happy than… NOW.
Live and enjoy the moment.
Now, think and try to answer these questions:
1 – Name the 5 richest people in the world.
2 – Name the last 5 Miss Universe winners.
3 – Name the last 10 Nobel Prize winners.
4 – Name the last 10 winners of the Best Actor Oscar.
Can’t do it? Rather difficult, isn’t it?
Don’t worry, nobody remembers that.
Applause dies away.
Trophies gather dust.
Winners are soon forgotten.
Now answer these questions:
1 – Name 3 teachers who contributed to your education.
2 – Name 3 friends who helped you in your hour of need.
3 – Think of a few people who made you feel special.

More manageable? It’s easier, isn’t it?
The people who mean something to your life are not rated “the best”, don’t have the most money, haven’t won the greatest prizes…
They are the ones who care about you and take care of you.

What I’ve learned…
In April, Maya Angelou was interviewed by Oprah on her 70+ birthday. Oprah asked her what she thought of growing older.
And, there on television, she said it was ‘exciting.’ Regarding body changes, she said there were many, occurring every day…like her breasts. They seem to be in a race to see which will reach her waist, first.
The audience laughed so hard they cried. She is such a simple and honest woman, with so much wisdom in her words!
Maya Angelou said this:
‘I’ve learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow.’ (vERY COmmOn, but True)
‘I’ve learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.’
‘I’ve learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.’
‘I’ve learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you’ll miss them when they’re gone from your life.’
‘I’ve learned that making a ‘living’ is not the same thing as ‘making a life.’

Reward for being late
A Priest was being honored at his retirement dinner after 25 years in the Church.
A leading local politician and member of the congregation was chosen to make the presentation and give a speech at the dinner.
He was delayed, so to entertain and hold the guests from becoming impatient, the Priest decided to say his own few words while they waited.
He narrated the following: “I got my first impression of the parish from the first confession I heard here. I thought I had been assigned to a terrible place. The very first person who entered my confessional told me that he had stolen a television set and, when questioned by the police, was able to lie his way out of it. He had stolen money from his parents, embezzled from his employer, had an affair with the wife of his boss, taken illegal drugs, and gave VD to his own sister!
“I was appalled. But as the days went on I knew that my parishioners were not all like that and I had, indeed, come to a very fine parish full of good, concerned and loving people…… .”
Just as the Priest finished his speech, the politician arrived with apologies for being late. He immediately started his speech with these words:
“I will never forget the first day when our very kind Priest arrived in our parish,” said the politician. “In fact, I had the honor of being the first one to go to the confessional.”
Moral: Well, its basically very very obvious,
Never, Never, Never Be Late…..!!!

1. They will always smell good even if it’s just shampoo 2. The way their heads always find the right spot on our shoulder
3. How cute they look when they sleep
4. The ease in which they fit into our arms
5. The way they kiss you and all of a sudden everything is right in the world
6. How cute they are when they eat
7. The way they take hours to get dressed but in the end it makes it all worth while
8. Because they are always warm even when it’s minus 30 outside
9. The way they look good no matter what they wear
10. The way they fish for compliments even though you both know that you
think she’s the most beautiful thing on this earth
11. How cute they are when they argue
12. The way her hand always finds yours
13. The way they smile
14. The way you feel when you see their name on the call ID after you just had a big fight
15. The way she says “lets not fight anymore” even though you know that
an hour later….
16. The way they kiss when you do something nice for them
17. The way they kiss you when you say “I love you”
18. Actually … just the way they kiss you…
19. The way they fall into your arms when they cry
20. Then the way they apologize for crying over something that silly

When you look them in the eyes, traveling to the depths of their souls and you say a million things without trace of a sound, you know that your own life is inevitable consumed within the rhythmic beatings of her very heart.
We love them for a million reasons,
No paper would do it justice.
It is a thing not of the mind but of the heart.
THE ROPE ACCORDING TO DAPHNE
Got this from Daphne. I’ve heard this before from our priest. It’s a li’l story with a BIG lesson to teach us.The story tells about a mountain climber, who wanted to climb the highest mountain. He began his adventure after many years of preparation, but since he wanted the glory just for himself, he decided to climb the mountain alone.
He started to climb but it begun to get very late, and instead of preparing his tent to camp, he kept climbing until it got very dark. The night felt heavy in the heights of the mountain, and the man could not see anything. All was black. Zero visibility, and the moon and the stars were covered by the clouds. As he was climbing, only a few feet away from the top of the mountain, he slipped and fell into the air, falling at a great speed. (more…)
2008 SONA ni GMA
Old post: This post is in connection with the SONA of GMA. Everyone didn’t feel good about GMA’s performance on how she handles the Philippines. What is so good about SONA? I think everyone is happy hearing that the cost of text will be cut into half. Meaning, a text would cost .50 cents. BUT, we have to register, as I’ve heard it right. =)
I’ve noticed while my boss is reading the newspaper, she laughed out loud and said, “Look, mayor wore a bahag!” Hehehe.
